Robert Dornhelm's retelling of the
story of Anne Frank comes to DVD with a standard full-frame transfer. A
closed-captioned English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Surround.
There are no subtitles on this release. Although the disc does a fine job of
presenting this made-for-television film, the opportunity to include some
historical content concerning the horror of the holocaust eluded the disc's
producers, Disney/Buena Vista. That said, this disc offers a moving experience
and an excellent springboard for discussion.
